Hello all,Below is a notice that is being sent home with your student athletes today. It will also be circulated at the practice tonight at the Thompson Middle School Gym. I am sending it as an e-mail now because it is urgent. Our first home game is this weekend, 12/7/08, and volunteers are needed:
last call for help!Below is by-law #11 of the I-395 Parochial Basketball League by-laws:11. The home team is responsible for providing adult/high school age workers for the clock, possession arrow, and official scorebook. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture on the first offense. The home team is responsible to have a copy of the 395 league By-laws on the score table. Home teams must report scores to the statistician by 8:00 p.m. the Monday following the weekend’s play. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture on the second offense. Home team will report all misconduct , technical fouls to the league Commissioner by 8:00 p.m. the Monday following the weekend’s playAt this point, no one has volunteered to help with these jobs. As always, I will continue to do either the score book or the time clock for our home games, but I can NOT do both. These are not difficult jobs, you won’t ever be left alone and, in the end, volunteering at either of these jobs, allows you the absolute certainly that you will witness every play or shot that your child participates in.If you are “safe-environments” trained or are willing to take the online course to go through the training, please contact Mrs. Briere or myself as soon as possible. Our first home game is Sunday, December 7, 2008. I would hate to let the athletes down, after fighting for their practice times, and cancel games because we do not have the volunteers required.
